Interdisciplinary Research Prize awarded to a team of six uOttawa researchers
OTTAWA, September 13, 2006 — The 2006 Interdisciplinary Research Prize is awarded to six researchers in the challenging field of palliative care. Together, Pippa Hall (Faculty of Medicine), Susan Brajtman (School of Nursing), Lynn Casimiro, PhD candidate (Faculty of Education), Michael Clarke (i Medicine, Faculty of Medicine), Peter Barnes (Human Sciences, Saint Paul University), and Lynda Weaver (SCO Health Service) have made an outstanding contribution to interdisciplinary research in this field.
The Interdisciplinary Research Prize is an annual prize established by the University of Ottawa to recognize outstanding contributions to interdisciplinary research collaboration. The prize is awarded to a team of two or more University of Ottawa researchers who have collaborated or are collaborating in interdisciplinary research projects and who have demonstrated research excellence and impact through such collaboration.
The Prize consists of a cash award of $25,000 to be used by the recipients in support of interdisciplinary research activities.
