Book Launch with Dr. James Bowen

Dr. James Bowen, Professor at the Telfer School of Management, will launch his new book entitled The Entrepreneurial Effect: Practical Ideas from Your Own Virtual Board of Advisors. Dr. Bowen’s research interests include starting and growing technology based companies as well as technology in itself. CASCO 2009 – 11th Annual Gala

The Telfer School of Management Charity Organization (CASCO) presents: Time of your life. All proceeds from CASCO’s 11th annual gala will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Foundation. The evening’s program will consist of a cocktail, three course meal, silent and live auction, a high energy dance and fashion show. Help Lesotho 5th Anniversary Celebration

Help Lesotho (HL), founded in 2004, develops many projects in Lesotho and addresses expressed Basotho needs. Panel: Strategic Alliances – Challenges for Growth and Competitiveness

OCRI, the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (Toronto Chapter), the Centre for Executive Leadership at the Telfer School of Management, the University of Ottawa, and the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) are putting together their first interactive event on the effective use of alliances and sales channels in order to survive, grow and compete during the next wave of the new economy. Panelists include Paul D. Fitzpatrick, Business Unit Executive, Global Strategic Alliances, Analytics and Performance Management Division for IBM; Jonathan Calof, Associate Professor and Competitive Intelligence Expert at the Telfer School of Management; David R. Holiday Lighting Ceremony - This event has been postponed to December 7

The University community will gather in front of Tabaret Hall to celebrate the holidays during the annual Lighting Ceremony. Hot chocolate, cookies as well as caroling by the University of Ottawa’s Choral Ensemble are part of the program. During the event, non-perishable food items will be gathered for the Bon Appétit! A Musical Offering for Christmas

The School of Music, in conjunction with the Spiritual Services Centre of the University of Ottawa, is pleased to present its heart-warming annual holiday concert, A Musical Offering for Christmas featuring the Choral Ensemble, the Calixa Lavallée Choir, and other ensembles of the School of Music, all under the direction of Laurence Ewashko. The program consists of traditional carols and other holiday music, with opportunities for the audience to join in the singing, as well as caroling in the Rotunda of Tabaret Hall following the concert. Voluntary contributions in cash collected at the door will be contributed to the SFUO Food Bank.
