Pierre Bélanger is a full professor with the Department of Communication. His fields of interest include diffusion and appropriation of new technologies, Canadian broadcasting and telecommunication policies, Canadian media industries and strategies, media and national identities, including digitization strategies of the Canadian heritage, and the socio semantics of Web innovations such as Facebook, You Tube and MySpace.
