2006-2007 Recipient - Ramesh Balasubramaniam
Ramesh Balasubramaniam is an associate professor in the School of Human Kinetics and holds the University Research Chair in Human Motor Control Neuroscience. Dr. Balasubramaniam and his team study human movement and its neural underpinnings with the goal of developing a comprehensive science of embodied cognition. Within just two short years of joining the University of Ottawa, Balasubramaniam conceived and built a state-of-the-art facility for studying human motor behaviour and has attracted close to $1 million of research funding.
