2005-2006 Recipient - Cheryll Duquette
Faculty of Education
Cheryll Duquette hails from the Faculty of Education, specializing in Special Education and Native Studies. She developed the “Native Teacher Education Programme” which works with First Nations peoples to train teachers and develop curriculum that compliments the specific needs of these groups. She also developed, and continues to administer the “On Site Teacher Education Programme” which connects students to local classrooms.
