2005 Recipient - Emma Smith
From 2002 through 2004, Emma Smith was on the Academic Honour Roll. In grade 11, she had the highest overall average of 96.3%. In 2004-2005, she was her student council President and organized school events such as dances, assemblies, carnivals, fundraisers and charity events. She was the School Board Student Trustee and attended monthly board meetings and spoke on behalf of 13,000 students in her school board. Furthermore, she was lead tenor saxophone in her school band. Finally, in April 2004, she was the local organizer of theWorld Vision 30 Hour Famine, an event that rose over $2000 in her school to help impoverished children in lesser-developed nations.
