2004 Recipient - Cameron Jelinski

Empathy is part of all the projects in which Cameron Jelinski is involved. The native of Prince Albert, Sask., has taken part in food drives, volunteered at a blood bank, participated in a fundraising campaign for the Alzheimer’s Society and been part of a group welcoming refugee families from Kosovo. Mr. Jelinksi is actively involved in both his school and his community. He was first treasurer (2002-03) and then vice-president (2003-04) of the St. Mary High School student council, a Canadian delegate to the Future World Leaders Summit held in Washington this year, and a member of the national youth committee of the Canadian International Development Agency. He won an award given by Canadian Parents for French in 2004, and won first prize for an article published in 2002 in Fantascript, a Saskatchewan-based literary and visual arts magazine. Mr. Jelinski has registered in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
