2004 Recipient - Isabelle Falardeau

Ms. Falardeau has successfully managed to combine academic achievement with school and community activities. Along the way, she has acquired valuable national and international experience: Her curiosity and open mind led her to take part in a simulation of the United Nations in Fredericton, N.B., and she has been involved in Jeun’Espoir Jamaïque, a non-profit organization based in Ottawa and which sends students to poverty-stricken areas of Kingston, Jamaica. As a proud francophone, Ms. Falardeau has participated in the Parlement Jeunesse Pancanadien organized by the Fédération de la jeunesse canadienne-française. Ms. Falardeau, from Orleans, has also been involved in acting, notably in the play Cyrano de Bergerac presented by her school. She has won an award for her involvement in her high school newspaper and has been active on the student council. She will be studying in the Faculty of Arts come September.
